Well, I haven’t been able to update my blog in a long while, but what I caught on Anderson Cooper 360 last night couldn’t be a more fitting post for my reasoning behind such untimely posts.

I’m busy as hell.

And the rest of Fargo seems to be doing ok, too. CNN’s Gary Tuchman paid us a visit recently to report on the recession, or lack thereof, and how it’s affecting Fargo businesses. It’s definitely an interesting story to check out and could possibly lead to some folks trying to seek out a conservative tip or two.

I definitely wouldn’t go as far as Mayor Walaker would in saying that Fargo is not at all in a recession. I’ve seen more than a few of my friends get laid off and businesses tighten up their pockets and brace themselves for what may come. However, maybe what he meant was some business may slow, but he definitely wouldn’t refer to this as a recession.

Either way, life is still pretty good up here.

With all the Twestival excitement going on, I figured I’d offer up some simple, fun desktops depicting my design submitted to be the official Twestival t-shirt for the 2009 event. Voting for the winner of the t-shirt contest will end tonight, February 8th, and the official design will be unveiled on the 9th at 10:30 AM CST.

The folks over at Desired Hearts are hosting the contest for Twestival and will be producing and selling the shirts with proceeds going to Charity: Water.

I’ve got a design in the running to become the official t-shirt design of the upcoming February 12th event, Twestival!

Twestival is an event that will be held in over 180 cities across the world in an effort to raise money for Charity: Water. The Fargo Twestival will be held at Ristreto Coffee & Tea on February 12th from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Ristreto is a coffee and tea shop that also has a selection of beer, wine, edibles from the Green Market and pastries. Ristreto is located at 4150 40th Ave S in Fargo.

Charity:  Water is a non-profit initiative bringing clean water and basic sanitation into impoverished communities. They raise money to build freshwater wells and sanitation projects in developing nations, giving away 100% of the funds raised.

Also, Fargo’s own ‘The 404’ will be playing a rousing selection of tunes for your listening pleasure.

Well, I’ve been kind of a stranger to the blog lately. With a whole bunch of stuff going on around the holidays it’s been tough to keep up. That said, I’m back with some big news!

Our production team, Dandy Dwarves, along with director, Mike Goubeaux, have landed a seat in the top 5 for Doritos Crashing the Superbowl contest! Wheeeeeee!

I guess the winner won’t be announced until the spot actually airs live during the Superbowl, so Doritos has been kind enough to ship everyone there for the game.
